One-way interview rehearsal

Practise the recorded interview flow before the timer starts.

A one-way video interview can feel strange because nobody is on the other side of the call. PrepRun turns that format into a repeatable rehearsal: read the question, prepare, record once, finish, review locally, improve.

Answer-first guidance:

Practise the mechanics, not a memorised script. The strongest practice answers are specific, structured and role-linked, but still sound natural.

What feedback looks like

Your question stays next to your answer.

QuestionWhy are you interested in this role and company?

“The role matches my studies, but I did not connect my motivation to the vacancy or the company’s work.”
Coach rating3.5/5
Rewrite focus: connect one strength to one vacancy requirement and one company-specific reason.
1. Check camera and mic

Confirm your framing, audio input and background before the question flow.

2. Prepare under timer

Choose the structure that fits the prompt: STAR for a behavioral example, or a direct evidence-led outline for motivation and knowledge questions.

3. Answer once

In the real interview, assume the answer is submitted after recording. PrepRun replay is for practice only.

4. Improve the next answer

Review structure, specificity, timing and role fit before the next question.

Founder note: Nicola used PrepRun interview mode while preparing for the European Parliament Schuman traineeship process, passed the interview and was selected. The module is built around timed recording, transcript review and repeated improvement.

When to use it

Use this flow when your invite mentions recorded interview, video response, HireVue interview, motivation questions or one-way interview. If your assessment also includes games, use Full Assessment practice.
